Flashback Of The Week

What better way to end the week than to look back at the beautiful Marlene Dietrich. To many of us around the world, Marlene is the quintessential icon of 1930s femme fatale –  strong, striking, and mysterious. You can therefore imagine my surprise when I came across this photo: Marlene looking so soft and tender, eliciting the two very same traits motherhood so often brings out in a woman.

I love the matching flower headpiece she is wearing with her daughter. It evokes a certain warmth and tenderness that to me, makes this image all the more serene. With that said, here’s to a beautiful summer day, and a relaxing weekend!
