SHEILA MARQUEZ PREGNANCY DIET

I always try to keep a healthy diet, so being pregnant only encouraged me to be even healthier. Eighty percent of my diet is vegetarian, so I increased the amount of greens, grains, and beans for iron. I also have about two green juices every day, and drink lots of water.
I make smoothies for breakfast and they usually include: ground flax seeds, protein powder, almond butter, honey, maca powder, coconut oil, and any kind of frozen fruits.
I also eat across the street from my house very often– in a little vegetarian cafe at the yoga place called Shanti Shack. Brownie, the chef and owner, has developed a special nutrition plan for all the pregnant mamas in Williamsburg.
