BEAUTY THE BEST ALL-NATURAL SKINCARE TIPS FOR WARM WEATHER – PART TWO

Warm Weather Skin Care Tips: Part two

The Problem:
Unwanted tan or sunspots

The Solution:
It’s probably hard to believe, but not everyone wants to get tan during the summer. In fact, some people get sunspots—uneven light or dark patches on the skin—when overexposed to the sun. To gradually reduce the appearance of a tan or sunspots, apply this DIY Brightening Fresh Coconut & Turmeric Face Mask. The turmeric, yogurt and lemon in the mask brighten and even skin tone gently and naturally.  Another amazing DIY brightening treatment is a Pineapple & Papaya Enzyme Peel (pictured). Simply blend 1 cup of pineapple with ½ a cup of papaya (add a touch of honey if you’re not following a vegan lifestyle) and apply to clean skin for 5-10 minutes.  You should feel a slight tingling sensation.  Rinse with warm water, pat dry and apply a moisturizer or face oil immediately after.

The Problem:
Dry brittle hair from saltwater or chlorine

The Solution:
Pool time is one of the season’s highlights, but without proper maintenance it can wreak havoc on your hair. Pre-and post swim conditioning is a must to keeping your hair free of split ends and dullness. To retain your hair’s luster and maintain its health, apply this treatment for 20 minutes after you shampoo, rinse and towel dry your hair after a swim: ½ avocado, ½ banana, 2 tablespoons olive and 2 tablespoons of pure coconut cream. This mixture will keep your hair looking and feeling silky all summer long.
