How To Dress Like A British Prince

If you’re looking for the bucolic center of London, you’d be wise in looking no further than Hampstead. Peaceful and picturesque side streets, shops and restaurants with character, and the wild and sprawling gem of a park that is Hampstead Heath–it would be near impossible to live in the neighborhood and not be inspired.

One of our favorite said Hampstead shops is the sweet children’s boutique La Coqueta. Founded by Celia Munoz, a transplant from Spain and mother of five, La Coqueta started the way so many mom-founded kids clothing businesses seem to begin nowadays– demand from friends and family. Celia dressed her children in Spanish designed clothing and realized, after compliments and requests to bring back clothes for her friends’ children as well, that she might be onto something. And so La Coqueta, a “sixth child” of sorts, as Celia says, was born.

Created with Spanish designers and made in Spain, La Coqueta’s designs are fairly traditional, while still incorporating modern details like easy-to-wash fabrics and creative color palettes. In addition to being easy to care for, the clothes are all incredibly well made–proving they’ll stand the test of time when it comes to both style and quality. We especially love the offerings for boys summer-wear–subtle colors, soft fabrics, and cool details that will suit the tastes of kids and parents alike. We can think of one (royal) London family whose growing brood would no doubt look rather cute kitted out in Hampstead’s finest…
