CABBAGES AND KINGS SPRING&SUMMER COLLECTION SNEAK PEEK!

Flashback to last summer, when we raved about Cabbages and Kings branching out from their usual knitwear offerings to start designing swimsuits for kids. Now fast-forward to this summer, and imagine our happiness when we glimpsed founder Alexandra Gizela’s full range of colorful kids clothes for Spring and Summer 2015. We asked Alexandra to share a bit about the inspiration behind Cabbages and Kings’ new collection, and here’s what she had to say:
My Spring and Summer 2015 collection was inspired by my travels throughout Central Mexico. I worked with local artisans in various villages, who collaborated with me in using their talents to create something unique and one-of-a-kind.
All of our pieces–from our blouses, dresses, jumpers and baby shoes, to our recycled-plastic woven bags–are all entirely hand made by various artisan groups. The overall experience was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. And staying true to my firm belief in fair trade made the work that much more delightful.
