Flashback of the week: Muhammad and Laila Ali, 1977

Boxing legend Muhammad Ali’s youngest daughter Laila followed her father’s fancy footwork

to become a championship boxer in her own right. She also gained his passion for philanthropy and family–

now with two children of her own, the retired champ devotes her time to causes like Feeding

America and lends her name to worldwide charity campaigns. But here, in 1977, she was just a

newborn cradled in her father’s powerful arms. Like father, like daughter.
